AUS is a state-of-the-art airport with 34 gates, full customs facilities, TSA Pre-Check, Border Protection's Global Entry program, and so much more. The airport is easy to get to and easy to navigate; passengers enjoy exceptional customer service Austin-style, unlimited free Wi-Fi, art exhibits, local food (from breakfast tacos to brisket and Shiner Bock beer) and 1000 live music performances annually. TRANSPORTATION

In addition to getting to and from the airport, getting around town is easy as well. At AUS, you can pick up a rental car from almost any of the major rental car companies, and you can also take advantage of ride-hailing services like Uber, Lyft and Ride Austin, along with the Capital Metro Bus Line. Alternatively, passengers can board the Super Shuttle from the airport to get around the city. LIVE MUSIC

As ALPA's Airport of the Year in 2018, the airport has offered live music since its Music in the Air program was introduced in June 1999, just one month after the airport opened. Over 1000 live performances will be held in different venues around the airport in 2022, up from two per week before. Passengers with tickets can attend all performances for free.

SOUTH TERMINAL

The South Terminal, which is about 15 minutes south of the main Barbara Jordan Terminal, is the terminal for Allegiant and Frontier passengers. Terminals 1 and 2 are separate and cannot be accessed together. The South Terminal can be found at 10000 Logistics Lane, Austin, near US 183 and Burleson Road. Shuttle buses pick up from the curbside of the departure level at the Barbara Jordan Terminal and take passengers to the South Terminal or travelers can park directly at the South Terminal.

 

AIRPORT ACCESSIBILITY

Contact your airline before your travel date if you require wheelchair assistance. At the ticketing / departures level, AUS offers a Mobility Lounge for passengers using wheelchairs and other mobility assistive devices.

 

A Mobility Assistance Zone (MAZ) is available to passengers arriving in need of taxi service or a ride hailing app such as Uber or Lyft. It is designed to ensure priority access to Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), taxis, and rideshare services to minimize travel time and provide a convenient pick-up area for passengers with limited mobility. The entrance is located on the lower level curbside, one lane across from the G and H pickup areas, which are free and open every day from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.
